1. What is the deadline for taking senior pictures?
The deadline for each school is different. You will need to check with your school's yearbook advisor to find out the latest time you can be photographed and still appear in the yearbook.
2. How long will it be before my proofs come back?
Turn around time for proofs is three to four weeks.
3. How long will it take for my order to come back?
It will take six to eight weeks for your order to come back.
4. How much must I pay down for my order to be processed?
Half down is required for your order to begin processing. You may pay the balance within the six to eight weeks that your order is being processed or when the order has been completed.
5. Do you retouch blemishes/glass glare, and if so, how much?
We do retouch blemishes/glass glare. Acne blemishes are no charge. Each glass glare situation is different, and will be priced on an individual basis. Special retouching is available and is priced on an individual basis also.
6. Where will I be photographed?
Your photographs will either be taken at your school or at our studio. Michael's Photography studio is located at 729 Rock Springs Road, Smyrna, TN 37167. You may find a map and directions from your location by visiting our directions page.
7. Why are my cap and gown poses not included in my proofbook?
Your cap and gown poses will be mailed to your homes early February, in time for you to order and send with graduation announcements.
8. How long will my sitting take?
The time allotted for your sitting will depend on which sitting you choose. For instance, a basic sitting will not take as long as a Senior Expression or Milestone sitting. An average basic sitting will take thirty to forty five minutes. A Senior Expression sitting takes an average of one hour. An average Milestones sitting will take up to an hour and a half.
9. What do the Basic, Senior Expressions, and Milestones Sittings consist of?
Basic Sitting: You can expect between twelve to fourteen images (proofs). We will provide attire for cap and gown and formal wear. Students have the option of two casual outfits, both for outdoors.
Senior Expressions Sitting: You can expect between eighteen to twenty images (proofs). We will provide attire for cap and gown and formal wear. Seniors have the option of two casual outfits; one for indoor and outdoor, and one for outdoor.
Milestones Sitting: You can expect between twenty-four to twenty-eight images (proofs). We will provide attire for cap and gown and formal wear. Seniors have the option of three casual outfits; one for indoor and two for outdoor.
10. May I place my Senior Order over the phone?
At present, Senior Orders may not be placed over the phone or online. We can however, assist you with your order over the phone. Appointments for placing orders are done either at the school or at our studio on Rock Springs Road. Proofbooks must be returned with order.
11. What should I wear for my senior session?
Just be yourself, these are your senior pictures. It is best to wear what looks good on you!
